Svestar

Danish Svestar consists of the four musicians, Anne Roed Refshauge (vocals) Kirstine Sand (violin), Kirstine Elise Pedersen (cello) and Marie Sønderby (piano).

Svestar has performed in various international venues, including cultural centres, cathedrals and schools in Denmark, toured in Japan two times and performed in both Tokyo, Kobe and Osaka. Svestar ́s music uses elements from folk music as well as a contemporary tonal language, and the four musicians are always seeking new and inspirational directions for their compositions. With great intensity and delicate softness, Svestar ́s musical expression is both natural and out-worldly.
